This November, we continue celebrating the people behind your Rickshaw journeys. 
Here’s what we asked her:

What inspired you to work in the travel industry, and how did your journey with Rickshaw begin?
It all happened by coincidence! With a background in IT, I initially applied for a job in the IT field. I later received a call from Mr Binoy, attended an interview, and got my first role at Rickshaw, entering data on Protools. What started as an unexpected opportunity introduced me to the fascinating world of travel.

What is your most memorable travel experience so far, and why does it stand out? 
My first visit to Amboseli National Park, 28 years ago, when I was just 11 years old, remains one of my most memorable travel experiences. Having only seen most of the wildlife in photographs, I was amazed by the reality of seeing these magnificent animals up close, especially how enormous elephants really are! The vast open land, the sight of Mount Kilimanjaro towering in the distance, and elephants roaming freely were simply amazing. Being surrounded by so much open land felt like stepping into a real-life wildlife documentary.

If you were planning a dream trip for a guest, what experience would you always include?
A cultural tour would always be part of my dream trip for a guest. No matter the destination, experiencing the local culture offers a deeper understanding of the place, its people, traditions, and way of life. For me, travel is not just about seeing beautiful places but also about connecting with the people and appreciating what makes each destination unique. 

How do you bring the Rickshaw travel spirit into every client experience?
For me, it is all about personalisation. I ensure that each client's itinerary is customised to their individual preferences, interests, and expectations. My goal is to create meaningful travel experiences that reflect what matters most to each guest and leave them with memories to cherish.

What destination or experience is next on your personal travel wish list—and why?
Turkey is definitely on my travel wish list! I would love to explore Istanbul, shop at the iconic Grand Bazaar, and visit the magnificent Basilica Cistern. I would also love to visit Cappadocia and experience a magical hot-air balloon ride over the breathtaking landscape.
