Day 01:
Kigali
Upon your arrival, the driver will pick you up from the airport and drive you to a hotel in Kigali to check in.
Evening is at leisure.
Overnight at Mythos Boutique Hotel on bed and breakfast basis Or at Ubumwe Grand Hotel on bed and breakfast basis
Day 02:
Kigali
Depart Kigali after breakfast around 07:00 AM; driver picks you from hotel/residence.
Drive to Akagera National Park (approx. 3–3.5 hours).
Enjoy a full-day game drive with a stop for lunch.
Explore Rwanda’s only Savannah park, home to:
Big 5: lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, buffalo
Plus giraffes, zebras, hippos, antelopes/bucks
Guided experience helps in spotting wildlife.
Game drive lasts 4–6 hours, depending on sightings.
Return to Kigali in the evening.
Overnight at Mythos Boutique Hotel or Ubumwe Grand Hotel (bed & breakfast).
Day 03:
Kigali
09:00 AM: Driver picks you up from the hotel for a Kigali City Tour.
Kigali—known as the “Singapore of Africa”—is clean, safe, modern, and culturally rich.
Visit key city highlights:
Nyamirambo vibrant local neighborhood
Kigali Convention Centre (The Beehive)
Parliament Building
Other major landmarks
Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, an essential and emotional experience honoring victims of the 1994 Genocide.
Lunch at Repub Lounge, famous for East African cuisine.
After lunch, drive to Volcanoes National Park (approx. 2.5–3 hours).
Check in and relax at the lodge.
Optional activities:
Visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus (USD 20 donation) for gorilla conservation insights
Visit Red Rocks Cultural Center for activities: basket weaving, cow milking, beekeeping, banana beer making, traditional dance/drumming, village experience
Overnight: Tiloreza Volcanoes Eco Lodge or Five Volcanoes Boutique Lodge (Deluxe Room, Full Board).
Day 04:
Lake Kivu
06:30 AM: Driver picks you up and transfers you to the Rwanda Development Board office for briefing.
Begin Golden Monkey Trekking — duration varies from 30 minutes to several hours depending on the monkeys’ movement.
Return to the lodge to freshen up and have lunch.
After lunch, drive to Lake Kivu (approx. 1.5–2 hours).
Overnight: Lake Kivu Serena Hotel, Superior Room, Half Board.
Day 05:
Kigali
Day at leisure: explore the district, relax, or enjoy the pool at Lake Kivu.
Drive to Kigali takes approx. 4–4.5 hours.
Keep at least 3.5 hours for airport security and check-in.
Clients should plan to take a night flight back to their destination.
