AirAsia X (AAX) has announced a new route to Nairobi, Kenya, marking its first foray into Africa. Starting November 15, 2024, AAX will be the only low-cost carrier in Malaysia offering direct flights to Nairobi. This strategic move aims to enhance trade, tourism, and business ties between Asia and Africa, providing seamless Fly-Thru connections to 130 destinations across Southeast Asia, Northern and Central Asia, and Australia. The launch follows AAX's strong financial performance and expansion into Central Asia earlier this year. The new route is expected to carry over 156,000 passengers annually, further boosting economic opportunities and cultural exchanges between Malaysia and Kenya.
