Air Mauritius is now flying into Dar es Salaam from Reunion as its new route into Africa.
The airline also has launched another route to Maputo to connect other parts in Africa, Europe and Asia.

Air Mauritius chairman Arjoon Suddhoo said here the airline would have 26 weekly flights to Africa following the addition of the new destinations.
"African economies have shown remarkable resilience to the global crisis. Their growth rates have been consistently higher than the global average; the expansion of our network on the African continent is a step to address the need for more connectivity," Dr. Suddhoo said.
"These new flights will contribute in feeding the Air Corridor that links Africa and Asia through the hub of Mauritius and Singapore and Tanzania will benefit from the new route because its tourism, agriculture and business would be The permanent secretary in the Ministry of Works, Transport and Communications, Prof Faustine Kamuzora, thanked the airline for launching the route.
He hopes the new route will boost business, agriculture and education. "Tanzania has all kinds of agro-products and minerals and Mauritius is a strong importer of such items. Tanzania can export agricultural produce and Mauritius companies can process them there and sell them to third parties."
