Anantara Debuts in Africa - Minor Hotel Group took over management of the award-winning Indigo Bay Resort & Spa on Africa’s east coast and rebranded the property as Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort & Spa. 

 

Located east of mainland Mozambique on the Bazaruto Archipelago, the luxury resort features 44 villas offering a choice of garden or shoreline panoramas. Dining and leisure options include six restaurants and bars, a family pool, a fitness center, a golf course and a spa with five treatment rooms.

 

The property is the Anantara brand’s first hotel in Africa. “The addition of Anantara Bazaruto Island as our first Anantara in Africa is a significant milestone for the brand and one that we are very excited about. We are currently exploring other opportunities in Africa, both with our partners and independently, and for sure we are looking to further develop the Anantara brand on the continent,” said Dillip Rajakarier, CEO of Minor Hotel Group.
