On Saturday, August 29th, Bank of Africa Tanzania held a Walkathon for Clubfoot - and raised USD 100,000 for Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT), the largest indigenous provider of disability and rehabilitation services in Tanzania.
The early morning 3k walk and a little bit of rain did not deter the former President of Tanzania, Ali Hassan Mwinyi, other supporters of CCBRT or our Rickshaw Travels' team from enjoying the walk for a worthwhile cause.
The monies raised from companies, corporations and individuals alike will help provide treatment for 400 children with clubfoot.
CCBRT are a locally registered NGO aiming to empower people with disabilities and their families, improve their quality of life, and ensure access to medical and rehabilitative treatment.
Rickshaw Travels was one of the sponsors of this event and looks forward to future events geared towards helping CCBRT.
Below are a few pictures from the Walkathon.
