In Uganda, Queen Elizabeth National Park has won this year’s Big Birding Day with Mt. Elgon National Park coming in as a runner up.

On November 18^th, NatureUganda in collaboration with the Uganda Tourism Board, the Uganda Wildlife Authority and other partners organized the Big Birding Day finale dubbed the Birding Festival.

Uganda is regarded as Africa's best birding destination for birders and other nature enthusiasts. With over 1,000 species of birds mainly in large well protected wilderness areas, a birding trip to Uganda is the most leisurely in the East and Central tropical birding destinations.
