South African Airways (SAA) now has unique client-centred services available for passengers flying between London and Johannesburg. SAA CEO Vuyani Jarana noted that the airline has spent time studying aspects of flight including purchasing a ticket to what happens when a flight touches down on the ground. The new boutique services include features like dedicated premium- and economy-class check-in counters with red carpets, priority boarding for premium-class customers, children’s packs for families at boarding gates, escorts through some fast-track lanes and more. And SAA is looking at adding even more new elements in the coming months.

This boutique experience is currently on a trial phase with the London route. If it is successful, these services could be expanded to other international locations.
