Brussels Airlines has resumed service to Nairobi, Kenya, after a nine-year hiatus, using a new Airbus A330-300 and operating six times a week during summer. This increases the airline's Sub-Saharan African destinations to 18, with winter frequencies adjusting to four flights per week and capacity shifting to Dakar, Banjul, and Monrovia. The relaunch enhances the Lufthansa Group's presence in Kenya, complementing Lufthansa's Frankfurt service and Discover Airlines' Mombasa routes. It reflects growing economic ties between Belgium and Kenya and the strong air travel demand driven by the expanding middle class in Sub-Saharan Africa.
