It is important for all travellers to know/remember that while you can get a Tanzanian visa when entering the country at Mwanza Airport, the immigration office at this airport does not accept any form of credit card payment. Travellers who don’t have cash are escorted outside the premises to the nearest ATM to withdraw cash, resulting in delays for all travellers. 

Single-entry visas that are valid for up to three months are $50US, and multiple entry visas for up to 12 months are $100US. Business visas cost a little more. All travellers entering Tazania through Mwanza airport should apply for an e-visa before their arrival, or have enough cash in hand to pay for the visa upon arrival in Mwanza.
