Dubai International Airport’s southern runway will be closed for maintenance between April 16 and May 30, 2019. As a result, Emirates confirmed that many of its flights during that time will be rescheduled or cancelled. There is expected to be a 25 percent reduction in flights during the maintenance period.

But while some routes are being amended or cancelled, some are getting increased capacity, including to destinations in Africa such as Morroco and Nigeria, as well as a few European locations including Italy and Sweden. There will also be new flights to Buenos Aires, Santiago and other locations in South America during this time.

Please check with your travel consultant to ensure any flights you have booked in and out of Dubai International Airport during this maintenance period are still running, and to make alternate arrangements as required.
