On May 18, 2024, Ethiopian Airlines inaugurated the newly expanded and renovated Domestic Terminal at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport. The $50 million project has more than doubled the terminal's area to 25,750 m² and increased its handling capacity. CEO Mr. Mesfin Tasew highlighted the project as part of the airline's efforts to modernize aviation facilities in Ethiopia, catering to the growing demand for domestic travel. The upgraded terminal, a hub for over 200 daily flights to 22 domestic destinations, features modern amenities such as automated check-in systems, advanced security screening, and a Premier passengers’ lounge. Ethiopian Airlines continues to enhance its infrastructure with new routes and airport facilities, promoting economic, social, and tourism growth in Ethiopia.
