The Airlines Uganda area manager, Abebe Angesse, revealed that more new direct routes across the globe will be introduced to enable Ugandans business community and tourists travel with ease.
The Japan route will be the carrier’s 11th route destination to Asia.??“We shall be connecting our passengers across the 3 continents of Africa, Asia and Europe and under one direct flight,” said Abebe.
Abebe made the remarks at a ceremony where he handed over a ticket to Aggrey Jimmy Mwesigwa the team leader East Africa Sports Tourism Initiative (EASTI) to Johannesburg for tourism promotion.?He said that due to the growing business schedule between Uganda and Dubai, the carrier added 60kgs for passengers flying to Dubai.??
Abebe said as the Airline marks 40 year of operation in November, the company will join a campaign to boost Uganda’s tourism industry.?“As we celebrate 40 years of service this November, we shall explore all avenues to promote tourism in Uganda,” he said. ?He noted that Uganda is gifted by nature with a number of tourism attractions to earn foreign exchange.
