Fastjet launches new route

March 1 will see the first scheduled flight of Fastjet’s sixth Tanzanian route, between Kigoma and Dar es Salaam. Flights currently will be on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The flight will be only jet service between the two destinations, with prices starting at TZS 123 000 (R655).

“Last year the company replaced its fleet in Tanzania as part of its redevelopment plan,” said fastjet Tanzania spokesperson, Lucy Mbogoro. “Similar to the mobile phone industry, low-cost airlines have made it easier for people to connect, friends and family to stay in touch and companies and entrepreneurs to do business more affordably.”
