Fastjet and Emirates have signed a sales and distribution contract that will give passengers access to the African airline’s growing route network.
The AIM listed airline announced the agreement on Thursday, in which a bespoke link will be created between Emirates and fastjet’s reservations systems.

The company said it will benefit both airlines with greater passenger traffic and will give travellers in Africa the opportunity to connect to the rest of the world through Emirates' Dubai hub.
fastjet chief commercial officer Richard Bodin said he's delighted to be working with a highly regarded and successful airline.
“Not only will it allow us access to the millions of passengers that Emirates carries, it is also a significant validation of our operation, service and proven low-cost model.”
fastjet also announced has announced that fastjet Kenya Ltd has now received their Air Service Licence (ASL), granted to them by the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA).
The granting of the license opens the way for fastjet to operate domestically in Kenya, as the airline completes its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) application.
