If you take the M2 Freeway east towards OR Tambo International Airport, you’ll need to find an alternate route – the M2 is now closed for repairs until the end of 2019. The road closure is between Joe Slovo Drive and the Kaserne Bridge. Alternative routes include exiting before Joe Slovo Drive and using alternate roads through Marshalltown, Jeppestown or Main Reef Road, and joining the M2 again at Cleveland Road. Travellers are encouraged to check maps and traffic reports and give themselves extra time when going to OR Tambo International Airport.
