Effective October 1, 2025, India has launched a fully digital e-Arrival Card for all foreign nationals entering the country, replacing traditional paper disembarkation forms. Travelers must complete the online form within 72 hours of arrival, providing essential details like passport number, nationality, and local address. The digital system integrates with immigration databases, enabling faster, paperless processing, reducing errors, and strengthening security. This modernization improves passenger convenience, supports sustainability by eliminating millions of paper forms annually, and reinforces India’s image as a technology-driven, visitor-friendly destination. Indian citizens and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders are exempt.
