Bagan archaeological zone, which was an ancient city of Myanmar, was listed as the World Heritage Site by UNESCO on July 6, 2019 at the 43rd World Heritage Committee Meeting in Baku, Azerbaijan. It has become one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Myanmar after three of the Pyu ancient cities-Beikthano, Hanlin and Sriksetra.
