In a recent survey, Kenya Airways (KQ) was ranked 22nd out of 77 of the world’s best airlines, putting KQ in the top 30 percent. The studied measured each carrier’s on-time performance, quality of service and claim processing. While Qatar Airways ranked first in the world, KQ had a very strong showing, especially since it is now competing with local airlines running cheap, regional flights.

Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) Managing Director Jonny Andersen noted that he expects the KQ ranking to rise over the next year due to the infrastructure upgrades coming to Jomo Kenyatta Internatinoal Airport (JKIO), and more direct flights to the U.S. starting in October 2018.
