After Kenya’s Ministry of Health lifted the ban for Kenya Airways to fly to Monrovia, the Pride of Africa resumes services to one their previously most profitable routes.

The World Health Organization has declared Liberia free of Ebola and while intense monitoring is ongoing to prevent any return of the killer disease are global health organizations now confident that Liberia has effectively defeated the outbreak which started last year.

Kenya Airways was reportedly last month granted fifth freedom right to operate between Accra/Ghana to Monrovia but has until now not been able to uplift transit traffic from Liberia via Nairobi into the rest of their network.
