Latitude Hotels Group plans to open a new property in Kampala, Uganda, to strengthen its presence in the East African region. This follows the opening of Latitude properties in Malawi and Zambia in 2012 and 2014 respectively.

While the official opening date is yet to be confirmed, the 52-room 'Latitude 0' will begin operations in September.

The hotel group further plans to set up similar properties in Addis Ababa, Nairobi, Kigali, Dar es Salaam, Maputo and Harare.
