The Rwandan Ministry of Health has confirmed cases of Marburg virus disease in health facilities, particularly in Kigali, prompting investigations into the infection's origin. In response, the Ministry has advised the public to avoid close contact with symptomatic individuals, practice enhanced hygiene measures, and be vigilant for symptoms associated with the virus. Dr. Richard Dawood ATTA®’s Medical advisor reassured that non-symptomatic individuals do not pose a risk of transmission, emphasizing that normal travel activities remain safe. The situation is being closely monitored, and public health measures are in place to swiftly control the outbreak.
