TPS Eastern Africa, led by CEO Ashish Sharma and majority-owned by Aga Khan IV, plans to construct a $30-million multi-purpose conference facility in Nairobi. The facility, to be built on a 1.12-acre parking area at Nairobi Serena Hotel, will feature a conference room for 500-1,000 people, banqueting space, meeting rooms, and an underground car park. Feasibility studies are underway and expected to conclude by December. Financing will come from loans and partner support. This expansion follows TPS Eastern Africa's announcement of a Sh870.87 million net profit for 2023, driven by a resurgence in the foreign leisure and corporate markets.
