The new Kampala-Entebbe Expressway opened on June 15, linking Entebbe International Airport to the Greater Kampala Metropolitan Area. The new four-lane highway – the first toll road in the country – will help ease congestion in the Central Business District and create an efficient way to travel between the airport and the shores of Lake Victoria.
