Beginning June 1, AirKenya will begin daily flights between Masai Mara and Entebbe, Uganda, allowing visitors to easily combine a Mara safari with a gorilla trekking expedition. These planes will pass through Kisumu for immigration, but ultimately take passengers on to their next adventure. Catherine Kimwele, AirKenya Reservation Manager, noted that the daily flights will start on an 11-seater plane, but will progress to larger planes as loads increase. Flights will depart Mara at 08:45, land in Kisumu for immigration at 09:50, and depart again at 10:30 for Entebbe, where they will arrive at 11:30. Return flights will depart Entebbe at 12:15, land in Kisumu at 13:15, depart Kisumu at 13:55 and land in Masai Mara at 14:30.
