Ethiopian Airlines has opened a new premium lounge at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport, a state-of-the-art facility covering 5,500 m² designed to enhance the airport experience for travellers. The lounge, inaugurated on 16 December 2025 in a ceremony with senior officials and airline leadership, features dining and seating areas, bars, an Ethiopian coffee corner, meeting rooms, showers, prayer and quiet rooms, a children’s room and more, and can host up to 1,000 passengers at a time. With an investment of more than USD 16 million, it is the largest lounge at the airport and is available to Ethiopian ShebaMiles Platinum and Gold members, Star Alliance Gold members and eligible frequent flyers, reflecting the airline’s commitment to superior hospitality across its global network
