PLASTIC BAGS BANNED IN RWANDA

All travellers visiting Rwanda should be aware that as per the country’s environmental protection policy, plastic bags are banned in Rwanda, including bags being brought into the county. Travellers visiting Rwanda who are carrying plastic bags will be required to dispose of their plastic bags at the airport, and replace them with an environmentally friendly alternative at a cost of $2-$6.
 
 
All travellers are advised to keep the new policy top of mind, and refrain from bringing plastic bags into Rwanda.
