From 1 January 2018, the Rwanda immigration policy allows citizens of all countries to obtain a visa on arrival. Citizens of member states of the African Union (and also those in the Commonwealth of Nations and Organisation internationale de la Francophonie) receive this visa free of charge for stays up to 30 days. Moreover, citizens of the East African Community are granted a visa on arrival free of charge for up to six months.
