British Airways becomes the first UK carrier to introduce A380.
British Airways today took delivery of its new double-decker super jumbo which airline bosses say will herald a new era for the nation’s flagship airline. BA says passengers will find its new £270million Airbus A380 bigger, more spacious, more comfortable, quieter and ‘greener’ than the ageing Jumbo jets it replaces – with fresher in-flight air to boot.
SA Express Durban Harare Route - After successfully launching the Durban-Harare route last year October, SA Express officially inaugurated the service in the first week of July. The direct flights operate three times a week using a 50-seat wide-body CRJ 200. SAX will increase the frequency to four times a week in the near future.
Qatar Airways adds African flights with Ethiopia route - Qatar Airways is set to begin three-flights-a-week to Ethiopia’s capital and largest city, Addis Ababa, on September 18th, 2013. The new service from Doha to Addis Ababa will be operated with an Airbus A320 in a two-class configuration of 132 seats in Economy and 12 in Business Class
