A French hotel group, AccorHotels, has taken over the management of Tune Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya.

The 280-roomed hotel located in Westlands, Nairobi, is owned by Malaysian tycoon, Anthony Fernandes. The agreement will see the French hotel group re-launch the property under the ibis Styles brand in the second half of the year.
We are expanding our commitment to leverage Africa’s enormous growth potential. Kenya is a strategic market for AccorHotels’ brands on all market segments with a positive and promising economic outlook,” said Steven Daines, CEO at AccorHotels for Africa and Middle East.
The ibis Styles Nairobi Westlands will continue to target the budget segment in the capital city. The 280 rooms across the 11 floors of the hotel come with the option of double, twin, triple and family rooms.
AccorHotels has presence in Kenya with two lodges, Fairmont Mara Safari Club and Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club as well as the Fairmont Norfolk in Nairobi.
The French hotel group also plans on opening Pullman Nairobi later in the year, also in the Westlands area.
