Accor Hotels has acquired budget hotel Tune located in Westland’s after the signing of a management agreement to operate the hotel.
The 280 room hotel will be re launched under the ibis styles brand during the second half of the year.

Accor Hotels chief executive officer Steven Daines said the acquisition of tune hotel will strategically enhance Accor Hotels’ brand portfolio, and leverage Africa’s enormous growth potential.
“Since the hotel opened to its first guests in July 2016, it has become a firm favorite with the Nairobi business and leisure community offering great value accommodation, a wide range of menus in a variety of restaurants and one of the best roof top bars in the city,” Mr Daines said.
He said Accor Hotels sees strong potential on all market segments with a positive and promising outlook.
Accor Hotels Middle East and Africa chief operating officer Olivier Granet said the group planned to grow its overall presence in Africa.
“We want to offer to our guests’ great experiences at the best price anywhere in Africa. Ibis Styles Nairobi Westland’s is a further step in our journey to doubling our network in Africa to reach 200 hotels in the mid-term,” he said.
