Uber’s general manager for Sub-Saharan Africa, Alon Lits, said: “As the infrastructure of Dar es Salaam rapidly urbanises so the demand for affordable, easy and flexible transport grows”.
Lits added: “Our service complements existing transport options so we can all work together to reduce traffic congestion and the environmental impact of transport in the city”.
The Uber service comes with a promise of cheap rates and around the clock monitoring for security for both the drivers and customers.
