The Government of Uganda has dropped the requirement for PCR tests for fully vaccinated incoming and outgoing visitors. The Ministry of Health on April 28 announced the indefinite suspension of the requirement for a negative 72-hour PCR test for fully vaccinated travellers who can show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination, with the exception of children aged five years and below.
Unvaccinated travellers or those partially vaccinated will be required to present a negative PCR test done within 72 hours of travel. Children aged below five years are exempted from presenting a PCR test.
