Uganda scraps VAT on key tourism services

The Tourism players in Uganda now have a reason to smile with the news on VAT drop on upcountry safari accommodation for tourist lodges and hotels outside Kampala District, as recently announced by the Uganda government.

Earlier, the Uganda government had indicated that 18% VAT charge would be levied. But this is not the case anymore.
