Starting March 15, 2016, visa-exempt foreign nationals who fly to or transit through Canada will need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) before they can board a flight to Canada. Exceptions include US citizens and travellers with a valid visa. More details to apply for an eTA can be found at - www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/eta-start.asp
