  • Day 01:

    Kigali

    Upon your arrival, the driver will pick you up from the airport and drive you to a hotel in Kigali to check in. Evening is at leisure.
    Overnight at Mythos Boutique Hotel on bed and breakfast basis – Deluxe room
    Evening at leisure and Dinner on your own expense.
  • Day 02:

    Akagera

    Leave Kigali post breakfast at around 0900am.The driver will pick you up from your residence / hotel and drive you to Akagera National park . Drive time is approx. 4 hrs to 4.5 hours. En route you can stop for a quick lunch at Kayonza ( own account ) before you reach your hotel. Later check in at a lodge.
    Later in the evening enjoy a sunset boat trip.
    Akagera National Park is a living tapestry of savannahs, wetlands, and shimmering lakes. While traditional game drives bring thrilling land encounters, exploring from the water unveils a whole new side of the park’s magic.
    Glide across Lake Ihema, Rwanda’s second largest lake, and witness unforgettable scenes: hippos surfacing with a grunt, crocodiles slipping silently into the depths, and buffalo herds gathering at the water’s edge.

  • Day 03:

    Akagera

    Post breakfast early morning the driver will pick you and take you on a game drive with packed lunches.

    Enjoy a hassle-free trip to Akagera National Park, to discover the country’s only protected Savannah land and observe animals such as lions, leopards, rhinoceroses, elephants, and buffalo. Benefit from your guide’s experience in locating these wild animals, and relax with lunch in the game lodge. Highlights Travel with ease to the outlying location, with round-trip transport included Look out for the Big 5, as well as giraffes, bucks, zebras, and hippos Benefit from your guide’s experience in locating these wild creatures Akagera national park is majorly a Savannah park with Elephants, Zebras, Giraffes, Buffaloes, and recently introduced Lions. We shall take a game drive in search of these mammals. The game drive can last about 4 - 6 hours depending on the animal sightings and interest.

  • Day 04:

    Akagera

    Post breakfast, check out and head for a game drive before exiting the park. You will carry packed lunches on this day as well.

  • Day 05:

    Akagera

    Early morning around 0630 am , check out, carry a packed breakfast and the driver will pick you up and drive you to Nyungwe national forest onward to Cyangugu . Drive time is approx. 6 hours.
    You will stop at UWINKA center for briefing and to do Canopy Walk before you head to the hotel for your overnight stay. The Canopy Walkway, part of the Igishigishigi Trail, is a high suspension bridge with views over the valley and surrounding forests.

  • Day 06:

    Nyungwe Forest Reserve

    Chimpanzee trek this day. The trek starts at 0430AM from the Gisakura reception center and once you trek to see one of the three semi – habituated acrobatic chimpanzees you will return by 11am or so back to the hotel to have breakfast. Check out and head to Kibuye .Drive time is approx 3 hours.

    P.S : Rates include accommodation with all three meals along with soft drinks , a reasonable amount of house wines and local beers as well as access to all hotel amenities and activities like use of the kayaks and vespas .

    Nyungwe Forest Reserve

    Day is at leisure to enjoy the hotel and its facilities.

  • Day 08:

    Nyungwe Forest Reserve

    After breakfast check out and today you will drive to the Volcanoes National Park. Drive time is approx. 5 to 6 hours .
    Depending on the time you arrive at the accommodation facility, evening is at leisure to relax or you can visit the Ellen De Genres Campus ( Donation fee of USD 20 per person payable directly ) and / experience the history and conservation of Gorillas and Rwanda in general.
    OR
    The driver can take you to Red Rocks to experience cultural attractions like basket weaving, cow milking , bee keeping , Banana beer production , Organic farming ,Traditional dancing , drumming and village
    Lunch on your own expense.

  • Day 09:

    Nyungwe Forest Reserve

    Early morning 06:30 am, the driver will pick you from the hotel and drive you to the Rwanda Development board office for briefing and here you will be assigned a gorilla family. You will trek and depending on the gorilla family, the trek may last anywhere between 2 – 6 hours.



    Rwanda is one of only three countries in the world where the critically endangered mountain gorillas live.
    Gorilla tracking in Rwanda is often described as "life changing" and with good reason. With only 880 estimated Gorillas left in the world, to see these gentle creatures in their natural habitat is a truly unique moment.
    Gorillas make their homes in and amongst the bamboo-covered slopes of the Virunga Mountains in the Volcanoes National Park in northern Rwanda. Trek to see them and you’ll be introduced by your expert trackers and guides to one of the fully-habituated families of mountain gorillas and you can stay with them for an awe-inspiring hour, often crouching just a few feet away, whilst the gorillas go about their daily lives.
    Post trek you will head to the hotel to freshen up, have a hot lunch and choose to either relax at the hotel or head to see the district , caves or any other activity you would like to do.

  • Day 10:

    Nyungwe Forest Reserve

    Early morning 06:30 am, the driver will pick you from the hotel and drive you to the Rwanda Development board office for briefing to see the golden monkeys . These striking primates are a treat for the eyes. With their bright orange fur contrasting the green rainforests of the Virunga Mountains – it's a photographers dream! and once you return from the trek you will head back to the lodge to freshen up , have a hot lunch and return to Kigali for overnight.

  • Day 11:

    Kigali

    After your breakfast in the morning , you will check out and the driver will pick you from the hotel at 1000AM to have a City tour this day . Often called the ‘Singapore of Africa’ this city has a very different feel. Known for being one of the cleanest and safest cities in Africa, Kigali is a beautiful city with a great arts and food scene. By car your tour will include visiting downtown Nyamirambo, a vibrant neighborhood where you will get to see Rwandans going about their daily activities, then on to see the iconic Convention Centre (affectionately called The Beehive), Parliament Building and lots of other prominent landmarks. No visit to Kigali is complete without a poignant and essential visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a dedicated place to commemorate the 1994 Rwandan Genocide and the 1 million Rwandans who lost their lives in a 100 day period. This museum is a powerful experience but one that demonstrates the resilience and reconciliation of the Rwandan people.
    Lunch is included in the tour at the Repub Louge, one of the best restaurants in the city showcasing East Africa cuisine and a chance to try.
    After lunch and depending on the time of your flight , you can stop to do some shopping before you head to Kigali International airport for your flight taking back some beautiful memories that Rwanda offered.
