- After a few kilometers, turn right onto a dirt road towards Manambato, a former holiday resort (7 km).
- Board a covered motorboat and travel 20 km on Pangalanes Canal, the second longest canal in the world.
- Enjoy scenic views of beautiful nature on the way to Akanin'ny Nofy at Lake Ampitabe.
- Learn about the history of Pangalanes Canal and its artificial connections to lakes and rivers.
- Arrive at Hotel Palmarium (or similar) and check in for bed and breakfast accommodations.
- 7:00 PM: Embark on a nocturnal excursion by boat to search for the rare and endangered Aye Aye lemurs.
- Observe the Aye Aye lemurs using their unique features to open and eat coconuts.
- Learn about the conservation efforts and 24\/7 guarding of these lemurs on the island.
